China-France Collaboration Advances Atmospheric Chemistry Research
time: 2024-11-12

From October 1 to 21, 2024, a team from the Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, led by Prof. TANG Xiaofeng, Associate Prof. WEN Zuoying and LIN Xiaoxiao, visited France for the "China-France Collaborative Partnership Exchange Program." During their visit, the team conducted joint research with French scientists at the SOLEIL National Synchrotron Facility.

After completing the synchrotron experiments, the team visited the University of Lille, where Dr. Tang delivered an academic report on the application of vacuum ultraviolet photoionization mass spectrometry in atmospheric research. The discussions attracted significant interest from Lille's researchers, especially regarding advanced detection techniques and experiments conducted at Chinese and French synchrotron facilities.

In addition, the team visited several laboratories, including the Atmospheric Chemistry and Combustion Laboratory at the University of Lille, where they explored research on low-pressure combustion flame temperature measurements and aerosol particle analysis. They also visited the Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT) in Douai.
