AIOFM's Online Monitoring Technology of Environmental Optics Firstly Applied in Marine Field TEXT SIZE: A A A

Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Hefei Institutes of Physical Science(AIOFM) revealed its plan to launch into marine field, which was marked by the discussion about the project of “Research and Industrialization of Online Monitoring Instrument for Conventional Elements of Marine Biochemistry”, a major special project of national key R&D plan “Security Assurance of Marine Environment”.

This is the first time AIOFM apply its Online Monitoring Technology of Environmental Optics in the marine field. Featured by high complexity, diversity and sensibility, the system plays a significant role in tracing biochemistry elements.

In fact, since 2000 China lacks online monitoring technology equipment to trace elements of marine biochemistry. There still remains as challenges to accurately measure each element concerning mulch-environmental factors, long-term and stable operation protection, etc. Even the available scientific data are rather fragmented and regionally limited.

To address this, AIFOM has developed various online monitoring equipment with proprietary intellectual property rights.

In the meanwhile they established industrialization base of online monitoring instruments for marine to remove technical and application barriers in marine monitoring instruments in China.

Besides, through technology transfer, so far more than 8,000 sets of environmental monitoring equipment have been applied to environmental monitoring fields in the whole nation, which are used for security assurance of national key activities such as Olympic Games, Asian Games, World Expo and Military Parade, etc.
