Prof. Ravil Agishev from Kazan State Power Engineering University of Russia visited Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (AIOFM) for the first time during which he was invited to give the first international lidar serial courses of China-Russia Research Center for Atmospheric Optics.
Prof. Ravil Agishev is mainly engaged in lidar atmospheric exploration and theoretical research. He has many years of teaching experience in graduate courses and has published more than 200 academic papers.
From July 2 to July 5, Professor Ravil Agishev has given lessons to postgraduates in the related fields of AIOFM. The course was conducted in the form of explanation and discussion. The contents involved basic concepts, system parameter evaluation and equipment development. The courses comprehensively expounded the application of Kazan State Power Engineering University in lidar Atmospheric Exploration in Russia, as well as some problems and solutions encountered in the research of measurement system. Professor Ravil Agishev's elaborated lecture won the praise of the scientific researchers who attended the lecture.
This is the first international curriculum since China-Russia Research Center for Atmospheric Optics established, and the series of curriculum will be coming.
Moreover, Professor Ravil Agishev has concluded a draft cooperation agreement with the Lidar Group of the Atmospheric Optics Center, which intends to carry out specific cooperative research and exchange visits, and plans to sign a formal agreement in future.
