Prof. Volodymyr Gnatyuk from Institute of Semiconductor Physics, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and Dr. Kateryna Zelenska from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv visited Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (AIOFM) on May 6 to 9, at the invitation of Prof. MENG Gang.
Prof. Gnatyuk gave a presentation entitled “CdTe-based diode-type X/gamma-ray detectors with high energy resolution and applications”. In the report, Prof. Gnatyuk introduced his outstanding works in related fields including the preparation of M-p-n diode through laser-induced CdTe crystal doping, design, fabrication, and performance evaluation of X-ray detector devices, and nuclear pollution radioactive detection applications.
Dr. Zelenska gave a lecture entitled “Laser-induced incandescence of carbon surface, creation of marks in transparent polymers”.
During the visit, a joint seminar between Prof. Gnatyuk’s group and Prof. Xiaodong Fang’s group was held, and over twenty researchers and graduate students attended the seminar. Prof. MENG Gang and associate Prof. WANG Shimao introduced the latest research results of FANG’s group. The two sides held concrete and in-depth discussions on future cooperation research.
